Spicy Jalapeno Popper (Flavored) Butter

We like spice in our house. And jalapeno poppers are a favorite quick, spicy appetizer. So when I was dreaming up flavored butter ideas, jalapeno poppers just wouldn’t let go. I’m so glad it didn’t, because this creamy, spicy-hot butter is perfect melted on fresh bread.
And I’m already dreaming of the flavored butter melting on my husband’s steaks during grilling season this summer!
It’s a 5 ingredient (if we include the salt) recipe, and it takes just a couple minutes to prepare. Give it a try for the jalapeno popper lovers in your life. I’m sure they’ll thank you!

- 1 stick butter, room temperature
- 3 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
- 2 tbsp. fresh jalapeno, finely diced
- 2 tbsp. shredded parmesan cheese, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 tsp. sea salt
-
In the bowl of a stand mixer, whip the butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy.
-
Add salt and cheese. Mix.
-
Gently stir in jalapenos by hand. Let sit two minutes, then stir again (this lets the jalapeno really flavor the butter).
-
Scoop into a ramekin or other small dish. Refrigerate before serving,
Make sure your butter and cream cheese are at room temperature and very soft when you are ready to mix. This helps the ingredients mix together uniformly.
