Pizza night is the best, isn’t it? Do you have any special nights or activities planned around pizza? Our toddler is only 2, so we don’t do ‘Pizza Fridays’ or anything, but I’m not saying it won’t become a thing.

Tip: Prep your chicken ahead of time
The easiest way to make this BBQ Chicken Pizza is to have chicken already cooked, shredded and frozen. I buy whole chickens at the store and make my husband smoke them. Then we shred the meat and divide it into 2 cup portions to freeze.
You can cook whole chickens in the oven, crockpot, pressure cooker or even the air fryer, too. Or you can even buy rotisserie chickens and shred and freeze those, too!
Making the Homemade Pizza Crust
Of course, when life is busy, you can buy a premade crust or crust mix from the store. But it’s just not as amazing as homemade pizza crust if you have the time!
This is the all-time BEST Pizza Crust you’ll ever taste! It takes just a few minutes to make and a handful of ingredients!
Let’s Make BBQ Chicken Pizza!
It’s this easy, friends: make the crust. Press it out to fit a round pizza pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray or sprinkled with cornmeal.
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Toss 2 cups of shredded chicken in bbq sauce. Spread the pizza crust with more bbq sauce before spreading the chicken over the crust.
Drain 1/4 cup of mild banana peppers on a paper towel and then scatter them over the chicken. Cover the whole pizza with shredded mozzarella (or a mixture of cheddar and mozzarella – yum!).
Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 13-17 minutes, or until the edges of the crust are golden brown. Let cook for a minute or two before slicing the pizza and serving hot.
Serve with a delicious, fresh salad for a well-rounded meal for your Pizza Friday (or Thursday, Sunday, or any other day).
Other toppings to customize your pizza with:
- bell peppers
- roasted red peppers
- bacon crumbles
- goat cheese crumbles
- black beans
- chopped dill pickles
- chopped tomatoes
You can also sub pulled pork for brisket for the chicken!
