Fluffy Marshmallow Creamer
This Fluffy Marshmallow Creamer is an easy, 4 ingredient way to fancy up your morning (or afternoon) coffee!
The colder it gets, the more coffee I seem to want to drink. Well, maybe those aren’t really connected. I just want coffee all the time. Ha. In fact, I even wrote a whole coffee lover’s gift guide, full of everything coffee that anyone (me, for sure) could ever want. Coffee probably makes up at least a 1/3 of the liquid in my body at any given time. Mom life, am I right?
All that said, it’s expensive to buy coffee from a coffee shop. I try to stick to hitting up my local Starbucks only once a week, but that means I want good coffee at home. Luckily, I’ve found the best roasted-to-order coffee I’ve ever tasted; it is honestly even better than Starbucks coffee.
I’m not a fan of straight coffee, though, so I usually use milk and a little creamer to make a simple latte. Sometimes, though, I just need fancy creamer to make myself an over-the-top fancy coffee to celebrate that it’s Friday. Or Wednesday. Or 4:00. Whatever.
This Fluffy Marshmallow Creamer is exactly that over-the-top creamer to make great coffee even more amazing. But, even though it tastes amazing, this marshmallow creamer couldn’t be easier to make. Only 4 ingredients, a few minutes on the stove, and you’ve got a creamy, deliciously sweet addition to your favorite coffee.
Why Make Your Own Creamer?
I like to make my own creamer, because I know what’s in it. Most creamers are full of a lot of ingredients that I don’t recognize. And sure, I can buy all-natural creamers, but those are a lot pricier. Making my own marshmallow creamer at home means I know what’s in it, and I control the ingredients. I can make it exactly as sweet as I want, and I can make a lot more flavors than I can purchase in the store.
Fluffy Marshmallow Creamer – the Ingredients
Only 4 ingredients are needed for this marshmallow creamer. Here’s your quick grocery list:
- 1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk (regular or fat-free)
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 (7 oz) jar marshmallow fluff/creme
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
Making the Fluffy Marshmallow Creamer
Combine your evaporated milk and sugar in a small saucepan and heat over low. Let the mixture simmer, stirring often, until the sugar has dissolved completely.
Stir in the pure vanilla extract and keep simmering. Whisk in the marshmallow fluff, a spoonful or two at a time, until it melts into the mixture. Once the whole jar has been whisked in, stir the mixture until it is melted, combined and smooth.
Remove the saucepan from the heat, and let it rest for a few minutes. The marshmallow will fluff while simmering, so letting the marshmallow creamer rest will allow the fluff to settle down. Once it has settled, give the creamer one more good whisk.
Storing and Using the Marshmallow Creamer
To store the creamer, pour it into an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
To use the marshmallow creamer, add your desired amount to freshly brewed coffee. If it seems too thick, the marshmallow does thicken a bit when stored in the refrigerator, heat it in the microwave for a few seconds before adding to coffee.
