The Best Natural Hand Products for Every Day
It can be hard to find good, all natural hand care products that work and are effective. I’ve tried lots of different brands and I’m sharing my favorite natural hand sanitizer, soap, lotion and hand cream. They are all safe for you and safe to use around your family!
Desert Essence provided me with their hand sanitizer to try out. However all thoughts and opinions expressed are 100% my own.

I’ve recently started to switch over all the hand products in our house – soap, lotion, hand cream, and hand sanitizer – to more natural, better-for-you products. I don’t want the chemicals and parabens and other unknown unsafe ingredients around my son. And since he holds my hands, eats food that I hand him and because my hands make his food, bathe him and clean him, I had a lot of concern about what was on my hands being in contact with him.
So I started doing some research and I’ve found some products I’m really loving. If you’re looking to clean up your hand routine, give some of these products a try!

Hand Sanitizer
I change multiple diapers a day. Oftentimes, I’m out and about when I’m changing that diaper, and I don’t always have access to somewhere to wash my hands. So I always keep a bottle of sanitzer in both my bag and hanging on the diaper bag. Plus we use hand sanitizer at home as well. I tried a few different brands of natural hand sanitizer before Desert Essence sent me bottles of their probiotic hand sanitizer to try.
They have 3 different varieties – tea tree + lavender; tea tree; and tea tree + lemongrass – and you can get them in full size 8 ounce bottles or smaller, travel size bottles (perfect for the diaper bag). Not only does this hand sanitizer kill 99% of germs and bacteria on your skin, it also releases a Kefir probiotic that provides good bacteria and helps condition your skin! Plus, I like the smell; each one has a good smell that’s not overly strong.
A little bit of the hand sanitizer goes a long way, which means the bottle lasts for a long time. And when it dries, it doesn’t leave your hands feeling sticky, tacky or oily like I’ve experienced with other natural sanitizers. I feel safe using this on my hands, which I know are going to come into contact with my son’s skin.
If you want to try this out, I’ve got a discount code to share! Use code DEprobioticpower to get 30% off your purchase on their website! Also, I can find this hand sanitizer on Amazon, but I can also find it in my local co-op. Click here to see where you can find it near you!
I’m going to try their face wash and lip balm next – two more products I’m looking to ‘naturalize’ in my body and skincare routine!
Hand Soap
I used to rely on bottles of hand soap from a certain popular bath store, but I don’t love all the ingredients in that soap. So I gave Mrs. Meyer’s hand soap a try, and I can’t rave about it enough. It smells just as good as the other soap – the seasonal pumpkin scent is amazing – and I feel so much better about the ingredients in it! You can get regular soap or foaming soap, and I can speak highly of it all. Here is the variety 6 pack, which is a great way to be able to try lots of different scents and find your favorites. Plus, you can buy big containers of hand soap refill at a cheaper cost and just fill reusable soap dispensers!
Hand Lotion and Hand Cream
I’ve had really good luck with Yes To hand cream and Burt’s Bees hand cream. They work well, keep my hands soft and moisturized, and Yes To’s coconut hand cream smells heavenly.
I’ve also been enjoying Mrs. Meyer’s hand lotion. It works just as well as the soap. I usually buy it from Amazon, and I love that you can get the variety pack with all six different scents! The shea butter and almond oil in them is fabulous for moisturizing.
And Love, Beauty and Planet has some great naturally-derived hand lotion that I really like too. Plus I can usually get a good deal on them at Target or Amazon!
What are your favorite natural or naturally-derived hand products? Tell me your favorites so I can try them, and then give some of my favorites a try! I went through lots of trial and error to find products that I like, so I’d really love to hear you give them a try and enjoy them too!
