If you know me at all, you know that I am a book-obsessed former teacher. I absolutely believe that reading to your toddler is one of the most important things you can do for him or her (and research supports that!) so I buy a book for my son for every holiday, like Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and now Easter!
I’ve collected more than 20 of my favorite Easter board books for you. And I’ve even split them into two groups: Easter board books for little ones (0-24 months) and little ones (1+ year). Find one that looks cute and add it to your toddler’s Easter basket. And then on Easter, make a tradition of reading their new book together and enjoying it!
I can’t wait to see Camden’s excitement when we read our new books together! (We got Little Blue Truck’s Springtime, The Itsy Bitsy Bunny and Duck and Goose: Here Comes Easter this year – I couldn’t pick just one!
Easter board books for little, little ones (0-24 months)
Little Blue Truck’s Springtime by Alice Schertle
Little Blue Truck is one of my favorite board book series – and this one is no different! It has life-the-flaps on every page and is so catchy and fun for little ones!
Happy Easter, Pout-Pout Fish by Deborah Diesen
Pout-Pout Fish is another cute series! This book is very simple, with only one line on each page, so little ones will be able to sit through it!
Hop! Hop! by Leslie Patricelli
We have Yummy, Yucky by this author, and Camden loves it! The text in her books is one line per page, very simple, and spoken from Baby’s point of view. The pictures are simple and bright, and so, so fun!
Where Are Baby’s Easter Eggs? by Karen Katz
Karen Katz’s series is so fun for little ones, because there are flaps to lift on every page while searching for Baby’s Easter Eggs. It’s a perfect introduction to Easter egg hunting!
Llama, Llama, Easter Egg by Anna Dewdney
Llama, Llama, Red Pajama is another book that Camden loves. And this one is even better for little ones, because it’s got just one line of simple text to go with the bright, fun illustrations!
The Itsy, Bitsy Bunny by Jeffrey Burton
This book is a play on the song ‘The Itsy Bitsy Spider.’ It’s cute and your little one will love to hear you sing it to him!
Happy Easter, Mouse (If You Give…) by Laura Numeroff
Mouse is a favorite character in this house (of ‘If You Give a Mouse a Cookie’ fame). This book is no exception! It’s perfect for the little ones, with just one line of text per page and lots of bright colors and things to look at!
Hippity, Hoppity, Little Bunny (Finger Puppet Book)
These books are so cute! There are a ton of different ones, and in every one, the animal’s head is a finger puppet. When Camden was really little, he loved when we put our fingers in the animal and wiggled it around. Now, he loves to make the animal move on his own!
Babies Love Easter: Life-the-Flap Book by R.I. Redd
This is a cute and fun book with lots of bright, colorful flaps to lift and look beneath!
Bright Baby Touch and Feel by Roger Priddy
I think Roger Priddy makes really fun books, and this one is no exception with all of the things to touch and feel.
I haven’t gotten to hold this book in my hands, but I’ve looked through it online and it looks so stinking cute! I love the bunny on the front cover, and we buy a lot of DK books, too!
Ollie’s Easter Eggs by Oliver Dunrea
I love the Ollie books, and this is as cute as the rest of the series. It features adorable little Ollie and his friends, and it has simple, one line text on every page.
Pat the Bunny by Dorothy Kunhardt
This isn’t just an Easter book, but it’s a classic bunny book. Its simple contrasting style makes it perfect for the really little ones who are developing the ability to notice contrast.
Easter board books for little ones (12+ months)
Biscuit’s Pet and Play Easter by Alyssa Satin Capucilli
Biscuit is such a cute little dog, and little ones love him as a main character. This book features adorable Biscuit and lots of touch and feel things as well!
Duck and Goose, Here Comes the Easter Bunny! by Tad Hills
Duck and Goose have lots of ideas about where to find the Easter bunny. Featuring bright colored eggs and scenery, these cute little animals will steal your kiddo’s heart!
We’re Going on an Egg Hunt by Laura Hughes
This book features 10 eggs to find and explore – each egg is a fun lift-the-flap, too!
The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown
This is another book that’s not actually Easter-specific, but it’s a classic bunny book. It’s adorable, simple, and perfect for the little-bit-older toddler! Plus it’ll give you all the feels as mama bunny finds her baby every time.
Jan Brett makes the cutest picture books, and I’m so excited to find out that she has board books! This book is about Hoppi, who is trying to make the prettiest Easter egg so that he can help the Easter Bunny deliver all the eggs. There’s more plot to the story than the early readers above, so it’s suited for the older toddler.
Happy & Hoppy: An Easter Basket Lift-the-Flap by R.I. Redd
This book is so cute, because it’s shaped like an Easter basket and has a cute little animal on each tabbed page. It also has fun lift-the-flaps on each page too! The bright colors and shapes are beautiful and fun.
The Bunny Rabbit Show! by Sandra Boynton
Not Easter specific, but this book is typically Sandra Boynton – funny, cute, and guaranteed to entertain your toddler! We love Moo, Baa, Lalala! and other books by her, so this is one to be added to our collection!
The Story of the Easter Bunny by Katherine Tegen
This book weaves a tale of an older couple with a little rabbit who make beautiful eggs and let the rabbit deliver them to the kids. It’s absolutely adorable!

I need to start reading more to my toddler again. We did really well when he was a baby (before his younger brother came along). Thanks for the reminder. This is a great resource to come back to for good book ideas!
