When I was a kid, the only advent calendars I ever knew about were the ones filled with little pieces of chocolate. Aldi’s and Amazon still sell these – they’re filled with German chocolate – and they’re still amazing.

But there are so many more options for advent calendars now, and a lot of them can be used year after year. Here are more than 15 of my favorite Advent Calendars for Toddlers, including the one I ordered this year for Camden!

If you’re looking for Advent Calendars for adults or older kids, click on the links to see those!

And check out some great stocking stuffers for the men in your life or your toddlers, too.

Melissa and Doug Magnetic Countdown Tree Advent Calendar

This calendar is a basic, classic Advent calendar. It is tree shaped and has a circle for each of the 24 days of December leading up to Christmas. Toddlers can pick and place a magnet for each day to cover the circle. Because it’s a wooden tree, it would be a cute decoration to set up each year!

Wooden Fillable Advent Calendar with LED lights

I love the look of this classic wooden advent calendar. The scene on top lights up, and the little boxes are perfect for stickers or small treats or trinkets.

Nativity Scene Wooden Advent Calendar

There are 3 different styles of this calendar: the one pictured above, a nativity scene on top with boxes underneath, and a gorgeous sledding scene.

This is the one I picked for our family, and I could not possibly be more excited about it! There are 24 Disney storybooks to count down the days until Christmas, one for each day. We love to read every single day, and instead of doing a 12 days of unwrapping books, I thought this would be fun! Plus you can mix up the order of the stories every year if you want!

Toy Story 4 Movie Advent Calendar

If your child is a Toy Story fan, this is the calendar for them. This Advent calendar for toddlers features all the characters from the Toy Story 4 movie, as well as stickers and a surprise on December 24th!

Disney Jr. Advent Calendar

We haven’t hit the Disney Jr. phase yet, but I would love to get this calendar when Camden gets into these shows. It’s so cute! World of Eric Carle Pop Up Snow Calendar

If your toddler loves Eric Carle (The Very Hungry Caterpillar author) or pop-up books and crafts, this would be a great calendar! Each day features a pop-up item that adds to the Christmas scene. When it’s finished, it makes a beautiful decoration or gift from your child to someone.

PlayMobil Horse Farm Advent Calendar

This is cute if you’ve got a horse lover or if you’re looking for a non-Christmas themed countdown. The horse Advent calendar includes a horse, two foals, two ponies, three people and a bunch of accessories to create a horse playland. Once the holiday season is over, kids can keep the horse stuff out to play with or you can put it away for the next year.

We are huge VTech Smart Wheels fans here at our house, and if I hadn’t chosen the Disney storybook calendar, this would definitely have been the next choice! This Advent calendar for toddlers one includes a Smart Wheels Christmas train – how fun to add to your toddler’s collection of Smart Wheels! – as well as 2 ornaments and lots of accessories to play with!
